Hey guys! Yesterday was such a beautiful sunny day so I thought I’d whip out my white jeans from Superdry. I wouldn’t usually shop at Superdry but it is one of the brands which Coco Marie (the boutique shop I work at) stocks and this season they have come out with some great pieces! I styled my white skinnies with Ralph Lauren v-neck striped navy and white tee and then added Office patent loathers with flatform. To layer, I threw my La Redoute denim jacket over my shoulders and for accessories I opted for my mum’s navy cross-body bag and dainty gold chain necklace. I wore this outfit for a girly day out shopping in Oxford and afterwards I went to see my friend in a theatre production called ‘Mermaid’ at the Oxford Playhouse. Before I went, when realising how hot it was, I actually changed into a skirt as jeans would have been a bit too hot. I really like this outfit as it’s very minimal and goes by the saying: ‘less is more’. I hope you like it too- Enjoy!
I’m loving this street style look, that I found on Vogue.co.uk- the combination of horizontal stripes paired with a rich blue denim is divine and in my opinion an absolute classic! This look is also very on trend by assembling the monochrome, stripes and dungarees trend in one outfit- very well done! Additionally, the intense rouge lip and strong quiff really gives the look an extra punch! The Chanel-esque quilted across the body bag is not only practical but ties in with the black stripes on the top! I am very fond of this girl’s style and I hope you like it too- Enjoy!
Marc Jacobs’ SS13 collection is in my opinion exquisite! The main trends featured are stripes with red/brown/camel/raspberry and white- Some of the stripey numbers fit into the pyjama trend and others are very striking and bright and remind me of old-fashioned holidays at the beach! In addition there are elements of peplum and lots of outerwear and tops with decorative and extravagant necklines! Marc had also styled a large majority of his coats and jackets worn over bare skin suggesting femininity- it looks very chic! Moreover Marc had also joined in with the uprising trend of the graphic tee- here Marc has used the recognisable face of Mickey Mouse on a grey crop sweat. Above all what really inspired me is the fabulous hair and makeup. A dramatic side fringe paired with a high pony, radiant makeup and a nude lip= perfection!- I made this collage of a selection of pictures (taken from elle.com) from the show and I hope you like!- Enjoy!
Just a quick post to show this ring I got in a “What that old thing?” sale about a month ago. It was originally from Topshop and cost around £4 and at the designer clothes sale I got it for just £1. It is made out of wood and has black stripes on it. It is a geometric shape and is a real statement ring. It goes with pretty much any outfit so I’m really looking foward to wearing it more!!
