Marc Jacobs’ SS13 collection is in my opinion exquisite! The main trends featured are stripes with red/brown/camel/raspberry and white- Some of the stripey numbers fit into the pyjama trend and others are very striking and bright and remind me of old-fashioned holidays at the beach! In addition there are elements of peplum and lots of outerwear and tops with decorative and extravagant necklines! Marc had also styled a large majority of his coats and jackets worn over bare skin suggesting femininity- it looks very chic! Moreover Marc had also joined in with the uprising trend of the graphic tee- here Marc has used the recognisable face of Mickey Mouse on a grey crop sweat. Above all what really inspired me is the fabulous hair and makeup. A dramatic side fringe paired with a high pony, radiant makeup and a nude lip= perfection!- I made this collage of a selection of pictures (taken from elle.com) from the show and I hope you like!- Enjoy!
I’m definitely too young to be getting married any time soon but at the sight of this breath-taking gown I can dicipher a faint sound of wedding bells clanging in my ears! This wedding dress image is taken from Elle.com and is part of Georges Hobeika’s Spring/Summer Collection! This image earns it’s rightful place of my image of the day, purely because its intense beauty and attention to detail struck me back in my chair. In addition is really accentuates the female silhouette and yes I would be the happiest girl in the world if my wedding dress even vaguely resembles this one!- Enjoy!
I have just found this video featured on the Elle website and I absolutely adore it! Karl Lagerfeld himself, has directed this black and white short film called “Public Garden” in a silent movie style! His intention of creating this film was to showcase the new Spring/Summer 2013 collection and the clothing worn is truly divine and above all “tres chic”! The video not only exhibits the collection beautifully but also is very witty and has a little story behind it! I strongly advice you to check it out- for me it was a very enjoyable 5 mins!- Enjoy!
I also made this collage using some stills from the film:
