Yesterday, it was a gorgeous sunny day and I went and did a spot of shopping at Bicester Village accompanied by my Mum and later on, joined by my sister! I decided to take advantage of this lovely day and dress all summery (these kind of days in England tend to be pretty rare at the moment)! I am wearing this vintage ditsy floral maxi skirt which I adore, with a simple Topshop white sleeveless top, my vintage tan leather clogs, my La redoute denim jacket, my Fossil leather clutch and my Ted Baker beetle jem necklace! This look is fairly simple but the movement and style of the maxi skirt really gives the look an extra feminine and girly feel. I hope you like this OOTD and please do excuse the crazy windswept hair!- Enjoy!
This post is to show some pictures of a look I have put together. The look is summery and lovely and the main pieces are this lovely River Island cross over dip hem grey maxi skirt which was only £19.99. Then this super cute minty blue blouse from Boden and it has a rounded colar and little dots on. Then I am wearing this quirky moustache silver necklace from Asos SALE which was only £2!!!! I then have my tan leather Fossil clutch and then these lovely pinky sandals with lots of beading details on them. My hair is just down and crazily curly but here are some pictures my sister helped me take. Sorry I can’t show my face as I am still quite young but I will start showing my face in the near future!! Enjoy!! I also got my friend to do me a sparkly temp. tattoo yesterday- I love it!!
This is another post linked to the Asos future stylist competition and this is another candidate which un-fortunately didn’t make it to the final 2 but I still couldn’t love her style anymore. This look is very simplistic so therefore not fussy- its such a chic and smart look- so summery!! The outfit consists of this white roll neck crop top which I’m pretty sure is from American Apparel. Then she is wearing the beautiful royal blue maxi skirt. She has not been at all OTT with the accessories she has added some white rimmed sunnies, geometric gold statement ring, some matching royal blue nail vanish and these amazing blue suede flatforms!!! Her hair is also in a big top knot- such a STRIKING outfit!!!
Just a super quick post to show these Raffia straw wedges from Topshop which fit into a fresh new trend at the moment. They have a 5.5″ wedge and have twisted/plaited raffia wound around the shoe. They also have a leather buckle and are very lovely and summery. I would pair them with a patterned maxi skirt or pallazo pants with a baggy white vest and some long gold jewelly and some brightly coloured bangles and bracelets. They really update any outfit and are quite a casual but fashionable wedge!
As I am new to the blogging world, I thought I would introduce you to my overall style… Well it is obvious through my name that I am a lover of La vintage and have been for a long time- there is nothing I like better than rumaging through my mum’s draws in search for that key piece. I love going to vintage markets but I am also a commited high street shopper and my favourite shops are: Topshop, Urban Oufitters, Zara, Pull and Bear, La redoute etc. Also I do textiles GCSE and love to whip up cushions, bags, egg cossies and lastly DIYing clothing. I would describe my style as vintage, slightly retro, feminine and edgy. I don’t like to blend in with the crowd and whatever someone else wears I will tend to wear the opposite just to maintain my unique style. This picture is me wearing a seletion of my mothers clothes- silk white blouse- vintage M&S, Maxi skirt from Verbedet and Necklace is my great grandmothers, hope you like it!! 🙂
