This is going to be a post featuring 3 simple looks using the trend pleats!! Now pleats are everywhere at the mo’, especially in skirts so I thought I would device 3 looks all involving a pleated skirt and how I would style it!! These are just template looks which you can accessorize and build upon: The first look uses an old navy pleated netball skirt styled with a vintage belt, an Asos holey white shirt with a Asos lilac bandeau worn underneath!! This look is great for wearing to school because it’s smart but playful!! The second look features this deep turquoise midi pleated skirt which I actually made myslef!!- It’s a very simple construction and great fun so if you would like to make it yourself click here on this Youtube link: How to make a Pleated Chiffon Skirt ! Ok so I have styled this skirt with a Topshop caramel belt, Topshop white top and Miss Selfridge gold cuff which I got in the sale for just £1!!! The third look is styled around this jersey Topshop caramel skater skirt which is lovely!!- I have then added a printed Zara t-shirt, metallic gold Mini Boden belt and a head band made from the same material as the skirt I made!!! I hope you like these looks and always feel free to tell me what you think and comment!!! Enjoy!!
I made this collage of pictures showing 3 summery looks which I have styled in this summery period, if you would like to check them out here are the links:
These pictures below are pictures taken from Topshop Tumblr which represent effortless street fashion. Through looking at these pictures I have been inspired to try out some new ideas based on these beautiful looks and try and inject some of their unique style into my wardrobe. I always enjoy and appreciate the diversity of street style and I love to see someone with a truly new and fresh style!
Just a quick note to say I am adoring this Topshop smock dress. Firstly, the aubergine/plum colour is just a dream. Also I love the style of dress with the thick straps and wide t-shirt style sleeves. You might also be able to see that there is a faint stripey pattern and the fabric has a slight wave running through it. At 5ft 3 I am quite short so with the ruching through the wasit on this dress, it would flatter any short person(or tall). I would style it with my rose gold chocker necklace, my UO caramel pumps and finish it off with my cream vintage cardigan and my vintage rucksack. Lovely!!!! I personally think it looks a bit pre-historic so if thats the look you go for, this is the dress for you!!
Just a quick post to say that I am loving all the drama on Made In Chealsea and also loving the fashion of course. My favourite characters and style icons from the show are Caggie and Millie as their style is so effortless and whatever they wear they look breath taking and so fashionable. Here are a few pictures of some of my favourite looks of theirs:
