Spring/Summer Lookbook 2014

Hey guys! I must apologise for the lack of posts during the last couple of months as I have been very busy doing AS level exams. However, I only have one left now, so expect many more posts from now on! Today’s blog post is a Spring/Summer lookbook and I have styled 3 different looks. I was planning to shoot this lookbook outside but the rain prevailed and it continued to pour down all day! I took this photos with the help of my friend Charlotte who I have just convinced to set up a blog- you can check it out HERE. I hope you like- Enjoy!

Flower Power

The first look is centred around these River Island floral wide shorts with navy background and a sunny pop of yellow flowers. I love the light draping fit of these shorts which makes them ideal for hot weather (which I hope we’ll be having!). I have paired them with a simple burgundy purpley t-shirt from Asos, my great grandmother’s layered necklace and blush patent pumps by Pedro Miralles.

Ice cream sundae

The second look is probably my favourite, with the combination of ice cream, pastel shades. I feel like this look has a slight vibe of a day at Brighton Pier in the 1950’s especially due to the tied shirt at the waist. My baby blue textured shorts are from Zara which I adore and my shirt is vintage. My bag is a new purchase which I have fallen in love with, by Coccinelle and the bubble gum pink shade is the colour of the season so I couldn’t pass it by! I am wearing the same shoes as above, my gold stacking rings are from Topshop, my nail vanish is Candy Floss by Mavala and my lipstick is Barry M 145.

Roman Coins

This look has quite a 90’s vibe with these Topshop high-waisted Joni jeans paired with Topshop high-neck khaki crop-top. I love the combo of something high-waisted and something cropped as I feel it creates a gorgeous silhouette. My favourite element of this look is my recent purchase of these silver layered coin necklaces from Miss Selfridge which I bought as a set. They are very reminiscent of Dolce and Gabbana S/S14 with the influence of Roman coins. Then I slipped on my UO Deena and Ozzy brogues and applied some Bourjois rouge edition lipstick in 18 Violine Strass.

Rounded Sunnies and Florals- Festival Fashion

The girls of Coachella show us how to stay cool in the heat and also provide us with some festival fashion inspiration!! Both girls are wearing quirky round sunglasses and have paired them with:  one with a vintage floral maxi and the other with a 60’s inspired bright pink shift dress!! I absolutely love each girls look and I love how they have added festival suited accessories as well- Lovely!!

Summery Dresses

This post is to show 3 of my favourite summery pieces which not only include dresses but also a cute floral jumpsuit. The first 2 pieces from the left have been featured in recent posts so if you would like to see how to style them why not take a look: https://vintagevicar22.wordpress.com/2012/05/27/ootd-floral-jumpsuit/

These dresses are essentials for summer as everyone needs some florals and light colours for the hot wather. The first item is this gorgeous pastel floral skater dress from Asos, the second is this white and blue ditsy floral jumpsuit from Johnnie B and the last is my absolute favourite summer item which is this feminine white lace dress from Topshop Petite- the fit is perfect!! So are you stocked up for summer with your summery must haves??? Enjoy!!

A-Morir Layered Flower Sunglasses

These A-Morir layered flower sunglasses are to die for!! They would truly cheer up any cloudy day!! They are extremely vintage looking and the colours are super on trend pastels with pale pinks, blues and lilacs. The actual sunglasses themselves also have this gorgeous purply tone to them. They would be great for festivals and general sunny weather and really add that individuality and quirky edge to an outfit!! Literally don’t think I’ve wanted a pair of sunglasses any more but around £154 don’t think I being seeing them anytime soon!! waaah 😦

Image of the Day

I have already shared this picture before, in a separate post but it’s so amazing I thought it deserved its own individual post. I saw it again today and I remembered how much I love these 2 monochrome floral pieces (blouse and jeans) and how magically the go together. These are both sold at Topshop and then also do a blazer in the same pattern which I have very much got my eye on. SO LOVELY!!!! ❤

OOTD- Floral Jumpsuit

This is what I am wearing today on this beautiful sunny day. This blue, green and white floral jumpsuit is from Johnnie B which is a teenage version of Boden and they do this lovely jumpsuit in all sorts of styles, colours and patterns. I got it for my birthday in early march this year and have been waiting for a hot day to wear it. I am only at home today so I have only added my Accessorise hamsa hand gold pendant necklace. I still have my blue glittery temp. tattoo on aswell!! My hair is also plated to one side- too hot to wear down!! Hope you like it and make sure you all enjoy this glorious and sunny weather!!!
