Weekend in London

Last weekend was very eventful and enjoyable, as I went to London 2 days in a row. On Saturday, I went to visit a fashion university in London and it was perfect, the talks and workshop were so inspiring! Sunday was also a great day, I met up with my sister and my cousin Antonia at West Hamstead where she has a flat. After that, we took a walk in the sun to Primrose Hill and stood transfixed on the view of all the monuments of London lined up across the skyline. At a cafe around the corner we all digged into a slice of cheese cake with summer berries! Next door, was a gorgeous Mary Porter’s vintage store and I picked up a really cute monochrome gingham crop top. Overall, a great weekend and here’s a collage of a few pictures, wish I took a picture of my cheesecake put I’d already scoffed it all when I thought to taking a photo. Hope you’re all having a good weekend!

  • On Sunday I wore: Oh my love floral cami, Asos denim skirt and vintage back pack.

2 Year Bloggerversary- Let’s Celebrate!

Today marks my 2 years of blogging so I decided to do a post with pink balloons showing me celebrating- I wanted to buy balloons that said 2 years on them but I couldn’t find any so these pink ones had to do. I’d like to say a huge thank you to every one of you who has supported me over these last 2 years and here’s to many more years blogging!

2 year bloggerserary 010editEDITMy windowpane check, monochrome peplum top is from Banana Republic and I love the fit and structured wide peplum- very flattering! Then I am wearing a pastel pink scalloped-hem miniskirt from Asos which has been well loved due to the emerging bobbles caused by many washes. Then I have added my statement (extremely heavy) light blue floral necklace from Aldo which is a recent addition to my jewelry collection. To seal off the look, I slipped on my M&S blush pink strappy patent heels to give the outfit more of a dressy feminine touch- hope you like- Enjoy!

Hey guys! Just a quick OOTE (outfit of the evening), which I wore to a friend’s birthday party last night. I am wearing this lovely Asos paisely print dress and it also has a gorgeous cutout in the back, I have paired this dress with my Accessorize small hamsa hand gold pendant, pearl earrings, black opaque tights and my long curly locks! Here I am at the party with Rachel (sure you’ve seen her before in my other posts) and she is wearing a Topshop red tartan midi skirt, black eyelash jumper, fox necklace and black opaque tights. I hope you like our outfits and happy birthday to my friend Sarah- she’ll be 17 today! Enjoy!

OOTD- Geo Print Blazer

Hey guys! Today’s post is an OOTD, featuring my new Asos Geo Print Blazer. Along with my geo print blazer, I am wearing my vintage silky cream blouse, my La Redoute grey marl trousers, Clarks black shoes (my old school shoes haha), Topshop cream frilly socks, Clothes show live two-tone bag and gold sphere ring. I got this gorgeous blazer from Asos Petite, so its a great fit and I adore the geometric print- it’s so up my street! Above all, I think this blazer adds a classy, smart feel to any basic outfit, at the same time as being a very bold, statement piece. The rest of my outfit is very plain but the blazer adds a finishing touch, which is why it is now an essential in my wardrobe and I’ll definitely be getting a lot more wear out of it!-Hope you like!- Enjoy!

OOTD Greece 2- White Lace and Topknot

Today’s post is another OOTD from my holiday in Lemnos, Greece. This OOTD features this lovely crisp white lace dress from Topshop. It’s the perfect dress to wear in the summer as the white colour emphasises a tan and the lace section adds femininity to the look as a whole. This look is simplistic and could be easily recreated with any white dress, just add some tan gladiator sandals like mine from Laredoute, a turquoise gem bracelet, mine’s from Asos and a high topknot bun which polishes off the look. The picturesque views of Lemnos really set off this look with the dominant mountains and hot pink flowers. Enjoy!

OOTD Greece – Off the shoulder and Floral Shorts

Hey guys! Today’s post is an OOTD, of a look that I wore during my holiday in Greece. Due to the scorching hot weather on the Grecian Island of Lemnos, this outfit was perfect! I wore an Asos white off the shoulder crop top with H&M blue and white floral shorts. On my feet, I wore my La Redoute strappy gladiator sandals and to accessorize my outfit I wore Rimmel red nail polish called Hip Hop. This outfit is very simple but as I said before it’s ideal for soaking up the rays and for keeping cool. Hope you like! Enjoy!

Top 10 Summer Essentials and Haul 2013

Hey! Today’s Post is going to be a summer haul of all the goodies I have purchased, over the last couple of months and the items that I have bought are also my summer essentials, which are my must-haves for this season!

Top 10 Summer Essentials and Haul

1. Playsuit– Playsuits are perfect for summer, they are so easy to chuck on and also work as great cover-ups over your bikini on holiday. Mine is a recent purchase from Warehouse and is in this lovely silky blue paisley material, you can see it styled in my last post here: https://vintagevicar22.wordpress.com/2013/06/25/ottd-paisley-jumpsuit-and-floppy-hat/

2. Maxi Dress– Maxi dresses are a fab knock out piece for the summer and suit many body shapes. They can also act as cover-ups over your bikini on holiday and are feminine beautiful garments. I bought mine from Vero Moda, which I got it in the Sale through Asos.com and I adore the khaki tribal print, floaty material and gorgeous neckline.

3. Bright Coloured Bag– Bright coloured bags can make a great statement and mimic the bright and happy atmosphere in the summer. If you’re brave you could combine them with other brightly coloured items, to create a bold look. Mine was a present from my sister when she visited Tenerife and it’s by David Jones. The bright turquoise colour is very eye-catching and I also really like the cut out details.

4. Bikini– Bikini’s are absolute essentials for summer and on holiday, even if you’re not planning to go in the water, they are always a must-have to soak up those summer rays. I purchased mine from Asos.com and I have never found such an amazing bikini, that really flatters my body shape. It’s a bright floral 50’s style halter-neck top with matching bottoms. The great thing about Asos is that you can buy bikini’s in seperates, because I don’t know about you, but hardly any women are the exact same size on the top and bottom, so I would recommend checking Asos for that reason.

5. Bright Nail Polishes– Bright nail polishes are a fun way of giving a colour boost to your nails. The summer season allows us to experiment with a variety of bright and bold shades and many nail colours are also intensified by a summer glow. The two I have recently purchased are Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Papaya and Rimmel Salon Pro with Lycra in Hip Hop. Both are fabulous summer shades and are also both very affordable.

6. Shorts– Shorts are such must-haves for the summer and enable your legs to breath in the hotter months. Denim shorts are definitely an essential and also go with so many things. I recently bought these high-waisted blue denim shorts from Monki and they are a very flattering cut and not too short, as many on the market are. I also recently bought these gorgeous blue and white floral patterned shorts from H&M for an absolute steal of £9.99 and I am sure I will be getting a lot of use out of these babies during the summer!

7. Short-Sleeved Shirt– Short-sleeved shirts are perfect for the summer as they keep you cool and are also very stylish. I bought mine from Topshop and it’s a slightly cropped white short-sleeved shirt with this really cool sheer floral pattern on it and if you want to see it styled you can use this link here: https://vintagevicar22.wordpress.com/2013/05/26/a-glorious-sunny-day-out-in-windsor/.

8.Sunglasses– Sunglasses are truly stylish and add a sense of class to any outfit. In addition they are also very important to protect your eyes from the sun. I found these blue ones recently and are a vintage find of my mothers.

9. A Good Book– a good book is an absolute essential for on holiday, to read whilst sunbathing on the beach. I have recently started reading Micheal McIntyre’s Autobiography and I’m loving it, he is my favourite comedian and his book really gives me the giggles. So if you are going on holiday, I would really recommend getting a good book to read.

10. Bracelets– Cute colourful bracelets are perfect to build up on your wrist for the summer and why not try out lots of different colours, styles and embellishments. About a month ago I got this funky turquoise jem one from Asos.com, I love it!

Here are lots of pictures which I took of my summer essentials:
