New Purchases A/W14

Hi Guys! Today’s post is based around some of the new purchases I have made recently, all of which, are great staples for A/W. I have styled 2 outfits featuring my new purchases- one outfit for the evening and one day outfit- Hope you like- Enjoy!

Evening Outfit- BLACK BEADING

This all over black outfit is perfect for a night out and is styled around my new black beaded high neck top. I bought this top about a week ago at “Frock Me” vintage fair at Chelsea Town Hall, London. The event was incredible, with an astounding amount of vintage gowns, fur coats and jewelry packed into the Town Hall. I spotted this gorgeous intricate beaded top at a small stall and was instantly hooked, managing to haggle it down to only ¬£20- what a steal, right? I have styled this top with my H&M black pleather mini, chunky black heels from Red Herring, vintage gold knot earrings and red lippy- loving this look!

I have named this look ‘BURBERRY INSPIRED’ as I bought this large geometric scarf from Mango in order to re-create my own version of Burberry’s A/W14 woolen ponchos, which I adore, but unfortunately cannot afford. I have draped my woolen scarf over a H&M grey cami and my new navy wool A-line skirt with zip down the front from Zara- a new favourite of mine! For accessories I put on my new Accessorize navy dangly earrings and new Hobbs burgundy, gold studded brogues which I got in their recent sale.

OOTD- Burgundy Leather-look Skirt and Lace Bomber

Hey guys! Today’s post is an OOTD with the main element being my new burgundy leather-look A-line skirt which I brought whilst in Italy at a shop called Stradivarius and I especially love the two big pockets on the front. I then tucked in my H&M striped blouse- a piece that I believe is a definite wardrobe essential- you can never go wrong with stripes! Then for added texture and intrigue I threw on this beautiful navy lace bomber jacket from Miss Selfridge which is a great transitional piece from summer to autumn and I love how the lace juxtaposes the sporty bomber shape creating a more feminine look. For shoes I nabbed my Mum’s navy square-toe courts and I finished off the look with Accessorise navy jeweled earrings, plaited up-do and berry lips. Hope you like- Enjoy!

Style Inspiration- Burgundy Leather

Loving how these fashionistas have styled their burgundy leather skirts- Blogger Miroslava Duma looks incredible in brick red tone midi leather skirt paired with matching cape. Alexa Chung gives her leather mini an edgy feel with burgundy long-sleeve polar neck and slipper pumps whilst Kate Bosworth keeps it elegant and sophisticated pairing hers with classic white blouse and grey coat worn over the shoulders.

NYFW Street Style- My Favourites

Hi Guys! Today I thought I’d share some of my favourite street style looks from NYFW. Street style is great as it allows me to take¬†inspiration and ideas from others, which I can infiltrate into my own outfits and NYFW is the ideal time to get inspired when all the fashionistas flock in impeccable ensembles to the catwalk shows. – Enjoy!
