A couple of weeks ago, I made a trip to the Christmas Market in the beautiful city of Bath. Bath’s Christmas market took inspiration from the traditional German Christmas markets, each store having their own little wooden shed, all in which were intricately decorated with festivity. The store’s sold a variety of gifts, ranging from Christmas pudding hats to Russian dolls and although it was extremely busy, the Christmas market had a warm atmosphere. Santa was patrolling the streets all day long and the rest of Bath’s centre was also packed with Christmas cheer, with the sound of Christmas carols sung by a large choir. My trip to Bath was a very enjoyable and I think a day out to a Christmas market is one of the best ways to get into the festive mood!- Enjoy!
Dolce and Gabbana’s SS14 collection is stunning and the juxtaposition created between delicate Sicilian blossom with statement Roman coin belts is alluring. To quote Stefano Gabbana “Flowers are happiness.” and he has certainly expressed this throughout this collection, with fragile blossom petals embellished onto flowing gowns. Dolce and Gabbana have also been inspired by ancient history, with greek ruins used as prints. Other trends showcased are polka dots, fur in vibrant shades, striking PVC fabric and wide sleeves. By far my favourite element of D&G’s collection however is the garments and accessories inspired by Roman coins with one particular dress heavily adorned in various sized gold coins. Also, I love the striking enlarged coin belts and I believe one of these belts would give attitude to any outfit- a girl can dream!- Enjoy!

Today’s post is going to be a wintry OOTD, built around my new Zara Oversized tan coat. I wore this outfit at the weekend when I made a frantic trip to London to do some last-minute Christmas shopping! The oversized coat is a big trend for A/W13 and I love Celine’s and Stella McCartney’s swing on this trend, but I opted for one from Zara! I then threw on my chunky patterned scarf by Electronic Sheep (which I have worn to death over the years), my vintage white blouse, Topshop floral paperbag skirt, M&S grey wooly tights and my tan ankle boots from Hush Puppies. This look can be re-created with any oversized coat and I feel this look has an element of class and it is very effortless. Also, I think the patterned scarf really offsets the whole look- Hope you like!- Enjoy!
Alexa Chung looked fabulous in a white Stella McCartney dress at this years British Fashion Awards. Alexa paired her embroidered off the shoulder, sweet heart neckline dress with minimalist black heels, silver clutch and an oversized grey marl coat, draped over the shoulders when outside. To complete this look with a bang, Alexa sported 40’s style waves, bold red lippy and feminine pink blushed cheeks. I absolutely adore this look and Alexa has always been one of my biggest style icons.
At the awards, Alexa had to pass over her “British Style Award” that she won last year, to none other than Harry Styles, who was awarded the trophy this year. Other awards went to Edie Campbell for Model of the Year, Christopher Kane for Womenswear Designer of the Year and Miuccia Prada for International Designer of the year and many more. I hope you have enjoyed this post and I would recommend going to look at some of the other celebs gorgeous ensembles!- Enjoy!
