The other day I thought I’d attempt doing a 60’s Beehive hairstyle and surprisingly it turned out quite successfully! This season there is a nod to the 60’s trend throughout clothing, accessories, makeup and hair! Moschino’s Spring Collection is a great example of a runway heavily inspired by the sixties with key trends such as monochrome and bold pop’s of colour. I personally know a lot about the 60’s time period as it was my theme for my GSCE Textiles project where I made a 60’s inspired cape jacket. The beehive is one of the quintessential hairstyles of the swinging sixties where volume is created on the crown of the head through back-combing the hair and using masses of hairspray in many cases. The hugely influential style icon Audrey Hepburn was one of first to showcase this hairstyle and it is now seen as to be one of her trademarks! Many celebrities from the current day have additionally utilised the beehive style but have often put their own personal swing on it. These celebrities include Beyonce, Alexa Chung and Zooey Deschanel. I hope you like my attempt of this fabulous 60’s hairstyle and there is a picture of it in the centre of the collage with lots of pictures surrounding it! Enjoy!
This is a little outfit post that I shot the other day! It features firstly this Topshop denim jumpsuit which I purchased a couple of years back but I wear this piece to death! Denim and dungarees are also huge trends at the moment and I have paired my jumpsuit with this new Pull & Bear China print bomber jacket! I adore this jacket as the fabric is very feminine, floaty and I’ve been lusting over a bomber jacket for ages! I am then wearing some black leggings, some cute Topshop frilly socks and my Office caramel patent loather flatforms! I haven’t accessorized this outfit too heavily and have mainly let my gorgeous crystal statement earring (were my mum’s) do the talking! I have styled my hair up and also down with this outfit and added a H&M plaited headband with a high bun to create a slick look! I hope you like this post and are having a great easter holiday and weekend!
Yesterday, it was a marvelous sunny spring afternoon so I decided to abandon my revision and go on a lovely spring walk down my road. I live in quite a rural area so there is always wildlife and picturesque views to catch your eye whatever the season! I took some pictures of wild daffodils, delicate blossom, a rusty post box, a wide open field with turquoise sky and puffy clouds and finally spring lambs- so cute! I nearly got some photos of some wild rabbits but unfortunately they were too quick for me! I hope you enjoy this little bundle of spring collage I made of some of the pictures I took and I hope your also enjoying the spring season!
