This street style pic is taken from Milan Fashion week and effectively presents Miroslava Duma’s flawless style and supports the fact that she is seen as a fashion icon internationally. Miroslava here is wearing this truly flamboyant Louis Vuitton coat with a warm brown and pinky colour pallete. I particularly like the addition of the silk head scarf as it looks very chic and elegant. Plus, I am lusting over her delightful velvet strappy wedges! Miroslava I adore your style!- Enjoy!
This is my Prom Dress! It is an off the shoulder dress from Topshop and I will be wearing it for my Year 11 Prom on the 10th of May! I couldn’t be more over joyed to now have this hanging in my wardrobe as I had a pretty hard time trying to get it and I thought I’d share my experience with you! Well I saw this dress and instantly fell in love with the colour, design and style but I thought, no I’ll sleep on it and buy it tomorrow! So when I came back the next day I was devastated to see that my size was out of stock and was very surprised as of why it was, because it had only be released a few days ago. Consequently, I checked stores to see if any had it in my size and they only had it in the Oxford Circus Store, London. London is about an hour and a half away from me but luckily I was planning to go there the following weekend. So when that day came, I made my way to Oxford Circus, however they didn’t have it on the shop floor and so I rushed over to an assistant and she went to check the stock room. After what seemed like days of waiting she came out with the last size 8 in the whole country and my precious prom dress was mine! I am planning to wear it with silver statement earrings, a peachy/nude lip, a sophisticated up-do, suede heels and clutch!- I love it and it looks so good on- Tell me what you think!- Enjoy!
Yesterday was a fabulous day! My friend Rachel came over to help choreograph my GCSE Dance piece and then in the evening I went to my friend Katie’s 16th Birthday Party! The dress code was casual and even though you might consider my outfit to be fairly dressy, this is as casual as I get! I am wearing an Asos peplum top, La Redoute grey marl cropped trousers, La Redoute patterned scarf, a Miss Selfridge gold cuff and my Clarks school shoes! Rachel is wearing a Topshop short-sleeved navy lace blouse, an Asos fox necklace, Topshop wetlook leggings and leopard print Vans! We are both wearing a red lip and I wore my hair in a high bun using a donut to give it structure!- Hope you like- Enjoy!
I’m loving February’s image in my Vogue Calender- it’s a very playful picture with two immaculately dressed girls swinging off a lamppost! I recon it was taken around late 60s-70’s as some of the main trends are displayed such as the hippie trend with wide leg trousers and bold prints!- Thought I’d share- Hope you like!
I just came across this Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter 2013-14 collection (Elle.com) and vaguely recognised something familiar about the models’ hairstyle. Then I realised that yes this voluminous hairstyle, was actually my own hairstyle (well maybe a slightly more exaggerated version)! This concept slightly excited me because I have a very “love hate” relationship with my hair and here it is featured in a designer’s catwalk show! You will have seen my hair in some of my posts but until you meet me you won’t be able to witness the extent of its craziness! I have brown, extremely thick, curly hair which is often frizzy and is a nightmare to tame. However, after seeing this catwalk and them embracing my hairstyle and even Cara Delevingne rocking it, maybe I should learn to embrace my hair somewhat more – Enjoy!
Marc Jacobs’ SS13 collection is in my opinion exquisite! The main trends featured are stripes with red/brown/camel/raspberry and white- Some of the stripey numbers fit into the pyjama trend and others are very striking and bright and remind me of old-fashioned holidays at the beach! In addition there are elements of peplum and lots of outerwear and tops with decorative and extravagant necklines! Marc had also styled a large majority of his coats and jackets worn over bare skin suggesting femininity- it looks very chic! Moreover Marc had also joined in with the uprising trend of the graphic tee- here Marc has used the recognisable face of Mickey Mouse on a grey crop sweat. Above all what really inspired me is the fabulous hair and makeup. A dramatic side fringe paired with a high pony, radiant makeup and a nude lip= perfection!- I made this collage of a selection of pictures (taken from elle.com) from the show and I hope you like!- Enjoy!
I’ve shown this necklace before in another post but I thought I’d do a bit of a cheeky closeup! I got this from a vintage store at Clothes Show Live last year. I do admit I am slightly obsessed with statement chocker style necklaces but they just look so effortlessly chic worn under a collared button up. Here I am wearing my gold lion chain necklace with a La Redoute white rounded collar shirt and a bright floral pattern jumper which has also featured in another post and is from Glamorous. Hope you like!
