I’m definitely too young to be getting married any time soon but at the sight of this breath-taking gown I can dicipher a faint sound of wedding bells clanging in my ears! This wedding dress image is taken from Elle.com and is part of Georges Hobeika’s Spring/Summer Collection! This image earns it’s rightful place of my image of the day, purely because its intense beauty and attention to detail struck me back in my chair. In addition is really accentuates the female silhouette and yes I would be the happiest girl in the world if my wedding dress even vaguely resembles this one!- Enjoy!
Yesterday, it was my friend Tosti’s Birthday dinner and we went out to an Italian restaurant called Ask. I had a great time with six other friends who came aswell and I had Fettucine Bolognese for my main and shared some delicious profiteroles for pudding(however they were quite tricky to eat and being me, got chocolate all over my face) !The outfit I wore last night features a lovely La Redoute high-waisted burgundy skirt with pleather panels- you may have also seen it dressed down a bit in another post- https://vintagevicar22.wordpress.com/2012/11/18/autumn-look-pleather-and-cute-dog-scarf/. This look shows how this skirt can be dressed up slightly more for any night out! I have paired it with my vintage silk blouse, M&S thick grey tights, La Redoute grey marl cardi, UO brogues (can’t see), Fossil clutch, Rococo silver dangly earings, a huge side bun and a blackberry lip!- Enjoy!
I have just found this video featured on the Elle website and I absolutely adore it! Karl Lagerfeld himself, has directed this black and white short film called “Public Garden” in a silent movie style! His intention of creating this film was to showcase the new Spring/Summer 2013 collection and the clothing worn is truly divine and above all “tres chic”! The video not only exhibits the collection beautifully but also is very witty and has a little story behind it! I strongly advice you to check it out- for me it was a very enjoyable 5 mins!- Enjoy!
I also made this collage using some stills from the film:
Take a trip around the world with these cute DIY cushions! Yesterday, I was pretty much snowed in so I decided to make these gorgeous little cushions using a funky map material from Amazon.com and a soft nude jersey material from another online shop. They are really easy to make and are both made with one square front piece and 2 back pieces that overlap so you can change the cover anytime you want! The one on the left is made with the map fabric on the front and the nude material on the back and the one on the right is made completely with the nude material but with a cutout of the map fabric appliquéd on using a zig-zag stitch!- I really love these cushions and they really add a lot of interest to a plain bed or sofa and there are so many variations you can experiment with! I hope you like them and I may do a step-to-step guide on how to make them if you want!- Enjoy!
When it first snowed on Monday this week I thought I’d go out and brave it to create an intriguing background for a OOTD post! However I slightly regret this decision as it was absolutely freezing when I went out and despite my fairly warm outfit it simply wasn’t enough in these conditions! Anyway all the same, my outfit- I am first wearing my deep red cape jacket from “Oh My Love” which I love, as it instantly injects some elegance and class into an outfit, I am then wearing some checked chinos from La Redoute which are also very on-trend at the mo’, then I am wearing my Pull and Bear green cable knit jumper, La Redoute sand coloured desert boots, a vintage checked bag which I have made into a clutch bag by tucking in the straps and lastly this vintage gold chain lion necklace which I got from Clothes Show Live last year! On my lips I am wearing the shade Blackberry by Neal’s Yard and I really think it gives an added warmth and edge to the outfit! I hope everyone’s enjoying the snow but for me it can also be a bit of a pain as it blocks up the roads and I nearly got stranded at school today! Keep warm everybody!- Enjoy!
A few weeks ago I went to London and did some shopping on Kings Road. I went into this beautiful shop called “Anthropologie” and came across this beautiful Plum studded felt hat! This was one of my christmas presents from my parents and I absolutely adore it! Above all my favourite feature about it is that it is such a statement piece and adds a dash of elegance to any outfit! The small silver rounded studs are also another fab feature!I thought I’d share it with you and I hope you like it too- Enjoy!
I will first apologise for the limited amount of posts recently and this is due to me having LOADS of Januray Mock exams- which has been horrible! However, I only have 3 to go next week so from Friday onwards the posts will hopefully start becoming more regular again. I thought I might do a quick little post! The other day I found this picture on the Elle facebook page of these gorgeous “Moo Sunglasses”! I adore them especially because of the lovely decorative finishes in mint green, baby blue, white, bright yellow and coral pink! My sunglasses are really dull compared to these ones as these are really innovative and colourful and I feel if I owned a pair they would be making a fashion statement in themselves, not just for protecting your eyes from the sun! I think if I were to buy these I would get the white ones as I think they would look fabulous in the summer (paired with freshly tanned skin- as if?) and would probably match with a larger majority of outfits! What’s your favourite?- Enjoy!
